Premier League Top 4 Betting
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool had a fairly quiet summer in comparison to their top 4 rivals with only Ibrahima Konaté joining from RB Leipzig for a fee of £36m. They finished in third place last year and many fans put this down to having a whole load of injuries including towering centre back Virgil Van Dijk.
Liverpool fans are furious with the owners for not backing Jurgen Klopp this summer, however, Van Dijk returning from injury this season will give Klopp a huge boost as they look to fight for the title once more.
Youngster Harvey Elliott has also impressed in the few minutes he’s had so far and he’ll be important if any of the club’s impressive front three of Salah, Mane and Firmino get injured. Diogo Jota has also been impressive and looks to force his way into the first team.
Midfielders Naby Keïta and Thiago had unimpressive 2020/21 seasons, however, if they do play to the best of their abilities, the side will benefit because of it. World-class Fullbacks Trent Alexander Arnold and Andy Robertson will also have to be playing at the top of their games if they are to have a successful season.
Leicester City finished in fifth place last season and will be desperate to break the top 4 next season as they’ve struggled in recent times since their incredible title win. Brendan Rogers’ side has made impressive signings in Austrian Bundesliga player of the year Patson Daka, top Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumaré and towering Norwegian centre back Jannik Vestergaard.
Captain Kasper Schmeichel is one of their many top players who’ll be alongside fullbacks Ricardo Pereira, Timothy Castagne and of course striking duo Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho who’ll be counted on to score goals this season.
The side have finished fifth for two seasons in a row now and haven’t reached the top 4 since the 2015/16 season where they won the title. Despite a tough start to the season losing 4-1 to West Ham United, Leicester will bounce back and prove to be a contender for the top 4 by the end of the season.
Tottenham made 2 big signings this summer with the addition of Spanish winger Bryan Gil for £22.5m to improve their attack and Atalanta centre back Cristian Romero on loan. New head coach Nuno Espírito Santo will be pleased with these signings as he looks to improve on the club’s seventh-placed finish in last year’s campaign.
Harry Kane looked set to join Manchester City over the summer, however, after collapsed talks he looks like he’ll stay at Tottenham Hotspur for the upcoming season. The fans will be delighted as the talisman will look to hit 30 goals in their quest to reach the top 4. Heung-min Son, Tanguy Ndombélé, captain Hugo Lloris and Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg will all be key players for Spurs this season and Nuno Espírito Santo will be counting on them.
Outside shot West Ham United look like they’ll have an impressive season after going 2 from 2 at the start of the season. They didn’t have a massively active transfer window apart from bringing in PSG goalkeeper Alphonse Areola on loan.
The club also held on to defensive midfielder Declan Rice and winger Jarrod Bowen despite interest from Chelsea and Liverpool respectively. This duo will keep the squad competitive and strong with the likes of Tomas Soucek, Saïd Benrahma and Michail Antonio all impressing last season.
David Moyes has done a great job at the club taking them from battling relegation to fighting for Europa League qualification. He’ll hope to go one step further next season and reach the top 4 and consequently, Champions League football.
